It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our friend, church member, and worship leader Celeste Yohai on June 20. We will hold a memorial service on Sunday, June 28, at the Muziekcentrum (Alkmaarstraat 10). Everyone is welcome—church members, friends, neighbors, and acquaintances of Celeste. There will also be time during the service for a few short remarks (maximum of about 3 minutes per person). If you’d like to speak, please send a message to Riek Brinksma (riekbrinksma@gmail.com). Spontaneous requests at the service itself will not be possible. Afterward, there will be time to gather and share coffee and tea.

The funeral on June 29 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. is intended for those who wish to say goodbye to Celeste; an informal gathering is planned. There will be an opportunity to pay your respects at her casket. There is no set program. However, a short prayer will be said at the end, after which everyone may go home. The casket will then be taken from the hall for cremation.
